Update 11/2/15
Quarter 2 is well under way. This week, we are on Unit 7 for Vocabulary. Students finished their work on "from Exploring the Titanic" today. We will have a quiz tomorrow before starting to read a radio play, "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street."
Students were given last Tuesday to complete work from my absence the week before. This work will count for 2nd quarter because my students were dispersed during my absence and couldn't turn their work in to me. I will be starting to enter assignments today and tomorrow.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I also encourage you to check my website for this week's homework.
Just one more thing… 10/14/15
Hello,
The 1st quarter closes next week. The last day to turn in work will be Tuesday, October 20th. Students will receive an updated progress report on Friday, October 14, 2015. I will be staying after school tomorrow, Thursday, October 15, 2015 until 5:30 and Monday, October 19, 2015 for any student wishing to make up a test, retake a test or get extra assistance. Students need to be picked up promptly at 5:30 pm. Please e-mail your child's name and let me know that they will be staying. If you have already communicated this with me, you do not need to send another e-mail.
Thank you,

Quarter 1 Update 10/14/15
Hello,
This school year has been very busy. We were missing two teachers on our team, Language Arts and Social Studies. As a result, I have been stretched thin taking care of two language arts classrooms and supporting a third. Thank you for being patient while I got the grade book caught up and while I continue to update and add assignments after my recent absence to be in my cousin's wedding in Florida. Thank goodness things should be stable from here on out. The other Language Arts teacher started last Friday and our Social Studies teacher will start later this week. I have kept my website updated during all of this. You many want to check it each week, as I often add important information to this site, as well as hard copies of most assignments. I will be sending my updates weekly from this point forward.
Please save my e-mail address. This way future e-mails are not delivered to your spam folder. You should receive another e-mail (our 1st weekly update) later today.
If you do not want to receive future updates, please let me know.
